Esgairgeiliog (also known as Ceinws) is a village in the valley of the Afon Dulas in Powys, Wales. From 1536 until 1974 the village lay in the historic county of Montgomeryshire (Sir Drefaldwyn).
The Afon Glesyrch joins the Dulas in the middle of the village.
The ERA slate quarry lay in the Glesyrch valley, behind the village.
The Centre for Alternative Technology lies about a mile south of the village.
Esgairgeiliog was a station on the narrow-gauge Corris Railway, although prospective passengers had to cross the river into Merionethshire (southern Gwynedd today) to catch the train. A steeply-graded branch line crossed the river and led to the ERA quarry, carrying slate to Machynlleth for transshipment.
The station has recently been structurally and cosmetically restored as the Corris Railway is being reinstated back to Esgairgeiliog.
The station at Esgairgeiliog is the basis for Ulfstead Road, one of the Mid Sodor Railway's stations in the Railway Series.
